3/13/09 Test & DNA notes

I will be ordering review books for all sections on Friday, March 20.  Students that would like a book from me should bring $11 to class by that date.  If you can get any copy of the Prentice Hall Living Environment review book from a friend or older sibling it will be fine.  The review sections are the same, only the Regents tests included is different.

Yellow
Today in class we:
• Reviewed the unit test.
• Continued the notes for the DNA unit.

Coming up:
• We will finish the notes on DNA.
• Lab where we will extract DNA from cells.

• We will begin the next unit, Genes.

Extra credit: There is an extra credit project related to AIDS. This must be finished by midnight on Friday. The next extra credit project is on stem cells.

Homework:
• The Visible Embryo Project and the Human growth and Development worksheets are both due Friday, 3/13. Since I forgot to get this work in the first class today, I have extended the due date to Monday.
• The worksheet on DNA will be due Friday, 3/20.
