3/2/09 Graphing Menstrual Period lab & notes on human reproduction

Yellow
Today in class we:
• Took and reviewed a quiz.
• We did a lab on graphing the hormonal levels of the menstrual cycle.  The report is due on Wedensday 3/4.
• Handed out the Visible Embryo Project and the Human growth and Development worksheet.  Both are due Friday March 13. 
• Continued notes from the Human Reproduction unit.

Coming up:
• We will finish notes on Human Reproduction. For the PowerPoint presentation with all the media, download this file. For a printout of the Human Reproduction notes with full color and 2 per slide, download this file. For a printer friendly copy of the Human Reproduction notes, 6 slides per page black and white printout, download this file.
• We will begin the notes on Human growth and development.  This unit focuses on the development of the newly fertilized egg and continues through all stages of in utero development.  It also discusses the stages of life after birth, through old age.

Extra credit: There is an extra credit blogversation about smoking. This must be finished by midnight on Friday. 

Homework:
• The worksheet on Human Sexual Reproduction. This will be due Friday, March 6.
• The Visible Embryo Project and the Human growth and Development worksheets are both due Friday, 3/13.
