11/2/09 Cells & organelles

Today we:

• Began work in class on a cells & organelles worksheet. The presentations notes are available as downloads: Two slides per page in color, 6 slides in black & white, for printing by clicking these links. To download the PowerPoint presentation, with the media, click this link (this file is 107 MB). This package has to be unzipped. There is a viewer included, in case you don't own PowerPoint.
• Collected the lab on microscopic examination of skin cells.
• Collected the egg osmosis lab.
  

Coming up:

• We will continue with work on cells and organelles.

Test: There will be a unit test on Thursday, 11/5. The focus of the teat will be on material from the Atoms to Cells and Activity in the Cell units. Click these links to download the notes and review questions.

Homework:

• Continue work on the cells and organelles worksheets.
  
• Review the notes.
• Study for the test.
• Red section must write out and hand in tomorrow - information on two types of active transport in the cells.
  

The current project is the second of two choices. If both are completed, it will count as extra credit. If you did not complete the first project you are required to complete this for a grade by 11/6/09. Click here to see the project.
