12/10/09 Organization of Life

We will have a test on Thursday, 12/17/09. This will be on material from the units on body systems to the present.

Notes for the current unit, Homeostasis, are available in several formats:

• 2 slides per page in color, large format for viewing
• 6 slides per page in black & white, for economical printing
• 3 slides per page in black & white with room for notes on one side.
• The entire PowerPoint presentation with media included and a viewer in compressed (approx 12 MB) format.
• Link to a textbook for the current unit that follows the course presented in class.
  

Today we did an activity where students searched the Internet for the 5 levels of organization of living organisms. The project requires some written information and drawings on each of 5 index cards.

The lab report from the Reaction Time lab is due on Friday 12/11. Remember to include a data table and a graph, as well as the answers to all the questions.

The current project is the first of two choices. Remember that you need to do either this or the previous project. If you do both projects one will count for extra credit. If you did not do the previous article you must do this article. Click here to see the project.
