2/5/09 Lab on Mitosis flipbook & Notes on Mitosis

Yellow
Today in class we:
●Continued notes on the How cells Divide unit. We where plants could produce new organisms by asexual reproduction, mitosis.
●We started a lab to create a mitosis animated flipbook.
●The quiz was postponed till Friday.
●The class was given a webquest. Students must complete them for when we return on 2/23. If Internet access at home is a problem students should make sure they take the time in the upcoming week to complete at school.
●Collected the onion root tip mitosis lab.

Coming up:
●We will finish the unit on How Cells Divide.
●We will have a quiz on mitosis. Students need to know the order of the phases and the specific characteristics of each phase.

Homework:
●Review the notes. For a complete copy of the PowerPoint Presentation, including the media, download this file. For a printout of the notes with full color and 2 per slide, download this file. For a printer friendly, 6 slides per page black and white printout, download this file.
●Finish worksheets on Mitosis: Cellular division. These sheets will be due on Friday, 2/6.
