1/23/09 Immunity Unit notes

Yellow Midterm coming on January 27 @ 8AM Rm 148
Today in class we:
●Continued the notes on the immune system. (6/pg BW) We began with slide 40, the lymphatic system. We then discussed active immunity, including vaccinations. We discussed primary and secondary immune responses. We went on to discuss passive immunity. Then we discussed homeostatic disorders: allergies, autoimmune disorders, and finished with slide 52, AIDS.
●Handed out the worksheet for the next unit, How Cells Divide.

Coming up:
●We will finish the notes on immune system. (6/pg BW)
●We will begin the next unit, How Cells Divide.
●Students may bring questions on material that they would like to review for the midterm.

Homework:
●Review the notes.
●Study for midterm.
●Finish work on the Immune system worksheets. Due Monday, 1/26.
